Philadelphia was the hub of commerce for our country and the home to the very first Stock Exchange at merchant circle in Old City Philadelphia. Philadelphia’s Eastern state penitentiary was the first jail in the United States, with famous prisoners like Alphonse “Scarface” Capone to William Francis Sutton. The zoo is  popular attraction in most cities; but, The Philadelphia Zoo was the first and still is one of the largest in the Nation.

The Philadelphia Museum of Art is also one of the first and remains to be one of the largest in nation. The arts are everywhere in Philadelphia from historic to modern. A short walk from the museum you can find the largest collection of Rodin sculptures outside of France.

Art galleries abound in Old  City Philadelphia. Here you can feel the old cobble stone under your feat as your surrounded by the same buildings our founders frequented. The Avenue of the Arts is another area for art seekers. Here you will find the Kimmel Center for Performing Arts with shows from Pennsylvania Ballet and the Philadelphia Orchestra to name a few….

For visiting sports fans, Philadelphia has all sports leagues covered. The Phillies won the 2008 baseball world series; the Phillys play their games at Citizens Bank Park. The Philadelphia NFL football team is the Eagles. The eagles play their games at Lincoln Financial Field. The professional indoor sports such as hockey and basketball are played at the Wachovia center. The Philadelphia Flyers had a great team this year as they made it into the playoffs this year with Colorado.
